Khalid Albudoor is an award-winning poet and author. He is considered one of the first poets to establish the modern poetry movement in the UAE.
His first collection of poetry Night, published in 1992, won Al-Khal Poetry Award. To date, he has published six poetry collections. He was one of the founding members of the UAE Writers’ Union.
Albudoor has also been working as a researcher and documentary film writer, focusing on the intangible cultural heritage of the country. His documentaries and television programmes have received awards, both locally and internationally.
He works as a freelance researcher, writer and cultural advisor at the Hamdan Heritage Center.
