Nadia Hashimi is an Afghan-American internationally bestselling author, public speaker and pediatrician. Her adult novels include: The Pearl that Broke Its Shell, When the Moon is Low and A House Without Windows.
She has also written two middle grade novels: One Half From the East and The Sky At Our Feet, due to be published in 2018.
Hashimi’s books have been translated into 12 languages, have received starred reviews from Kirkus, School Library Journal and have been voted as finalists for Goodreads Books of the Year.
Hashimi lives with her husband and four children in Potomac, Maryland.
She is also a board member for Aschiana Foundation, an organization that supports educating and feeding Afghanistan’s most vulnerable children.
