What does it take to put together a poetry anthology – via WhatsApp? A panel of editors, writers and translators who contributed to the book “Candles of Colors” will discuss how 33 poets from the Arab world were coordinated through the application and the challenges they face in translating Arabic poetry into English. Dr. Shihab Ghanem is an Emirati poet, writer, translator, engineer and economist. He has published more than 70 books in Arabic and English. Some of his poetry has been translated into 19 languages. Dr. Ghanim Samarrai, is Associate Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation at the University of Sharjah.
