James was lured to the Middle East more than 20 years ago on the promise of adventure. The promise was delivered. Among other things he found a wife, co-produced two children, travelled extensively around all areas of the region, founded several businesses and has kept them solvent. He was swallowed into the vortex that is the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature from the very early days of its inception. He sees no escape.
