خبيرة علم نفس متمرسة وحاصلة على شهادات من “كورنيل” و”معهد لندن للإقتصاد”، وتميل للعمل أمينة مكتبة. بدأت القراءة بنهم بعمر الرابعة، ولم تتوقف عن القراءة منذ ذلك الحين.
ضيفة دائمة في برنامج المهرجان الإذاعي ” حديث الكتب” في إذاعة ” دبي آي”؛ تفضل مطالعة كتب الأطفال والناشئة، والأعمال الروائية.
تهوى الأدب والفنون وتستمتع بتعليم الشباب، عملت لعدة سنوات رئيسة شبكه خريجي جامعة “كورنيل” في الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
تشارك في إدارة الجلسات في المهرجان لأول مرة.
Shen Husain is a psychologist by training with degrees from Cornell and the LSE, an industrialist by profession, and a librarian by inclination, who started reading voraciously at age four and hasn’t stopped since. She is a regular guest on the Festival’s Talking of Books radio show on Dubai Eye, often championing Children’s/Young Adult and Fantasy fiction. This is her first time moderating at the Festival.
Shen is passionate about literature and the arts as both audience and active participant, dabbling in a bit of everything. She enjoys mentoring young people, and has served for many years as the UAE Committee Chair of CAAAN, the alumni group that meets all Cornell University applicants from the UAE and Oman.
